- Edges use the following colors and line types:
- spoofed traceroute is blue
- traceroute is black
- reverse traceroute is red
- Dotted edges represent historical paths, solid edges represent measured paths.
- The shape of a node denotes whether it is historically pingable.
- Ellipses are historically pingable
- Diamonds are not historically pingable
- Boxes are not in the pingability database.
- The color of a node denotes which AS it belongs to. When we can't resolve the ASN for a particular node, we color it black.
- The outline of a node denotes whether it is currently pingable.
- solid outlines mean that the hop is pingable
- dashed outlines mean the the hop is not pingable from the source, but pingable from other VPs
- dotted outlines mean that the hop is not pingable from anywhere
- The order of measurements is:
- spoofed pings towards source
- spoofed traceroute towards destination
- normal traceroute
- spoofed reverse traceroute
- pings towards intermediate hops / destination
